Step-by-step privacy guide
Advanced Background Checks has a guided removal session. Start with an email address, search inside the removal tool, open the exact record, and finish the confirmation from your inbox.
Step 1
Start inside the removal tool rather than the public report checkout flow.
Open the official removal page and enter a working email address.
Accept the authorization statement, complete the CAPTCHA, and choose Begin Removal Process.
Step 2
Use enough information to narrow common names.
Enter your first and last name with a city, state, ZIP code, or age, then run the search.
The tool may also offer phone, address, or email tabs. Use the identifier most likely to locate your record.
Step 3
Check the record before sending the request.
Compare the age, addresses, phone numbers, and relatives shown with your own history.
Choose View Details only when the result clearly belongs to you.
Step 4
This attaches the request to the selected profile.
Review the expanded record one more time, then select Remove My Record.
Wait for the page stating that a confirmation email has been sent.
Step 5
The on-page submission alone does not finish removal.
Open the Advanced Background Checks message and use its record-removal button or confirmation link.
Keep the confirmation until the profile no longer appears.
Check: Check spam if the message is missing. Avoid starting several requests before the first email arrives.
Step 6
The removal page states that processing can take up to 72 hours.
Search the same name and location after 72 hours and try opening the original result.
If it remains visible, repeat the request once with the same record and confirmation inbox.
Step 7
A second city or name variation can create another listing.
Run searches using former locations, maiden names, and middle-name variations.
Complete a separate removal for every distinct result that belongs to you.
Yes. The manual removal route described here is free. You should not need to buy a report or membership to submit a Advanced Background Checks opt-out request.
